Bateau baths
The intrinsically beautiful bateau bath is typified by its gentle curve and upward sweep. This design dates back to 19th Century northern France where the affluent residents of towns and cities could enjoy bathing luxury. Bateau baths were made from either cast iron of beaten and polished copper and some (although very few) original examples remain today. The Albion range of Bateau baths include our Imperium, Apollo and modern styled Lilye baths. These versions of the classic design have been enhanced to give additional comfort and depth, something that original bateau baths often didn’t provide.
